Walhalla Viking Re-enactments
Thursday 18 - Sunday 21 June - Daily performances @ 11.00am, 2.00pm and 4.00pm
Where: Old Scatness, Virkie
Old Scatness is an amazingly well preserved broch and Iron Age village. Now in its consolidation phase, this site has unearthed fascinating finds and even changed expert opinion on Scottish history. A tour of the site today, with the help of experienced guides, building reconstructions and living history, brings to life what Shetland was like over 2,000 years ago.
From 18 to 21 June, Old Scatness is hosting the Walhalla Vikings from Poland, a leading historical re-enactment company. This will be their first visit to Shetland and they promise to provide lively and entertaining shows, plus a few theatrical surprises. - resized.jpg)
